DaJonee Hale and Alissa Campanero Named NAIA All-Americans
Fayette, Mo. The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2015-16 NAIA Division I Women's Basketball All-America Teams Thursday. Players were selected by the NAIA-Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-America Committee. Each team first, second and third consists of 10 individuals.

Central Methodist University had two players land on this year's list, redshirt sophomore guard DaJonee Hale (Anchorage, Alaska) earned a spot on the first team, while senior guard Alissa Campanero (San Diego, Calif.) earned a spot on the third team.

"I am so very proud of both DaJonee (Hale) and Alissa (Campanero)," said CMU head coach Mike Davis. "End of the year awards like this show how successful we were as a team this season. We hope to build on these successes, and do even more as a team in the future."

DaJonee Hale was one of four players that was considered for the National Player of the Year award. Hale led Central Methodist by averaging 19.7 points per game; which ranked fifth in NAIA Division 1. Hale also finished ranked 12th in the NAIA Division 1 ranks in free-throw percentage at 82.2%, and ranked 13th in three-point field goal percentage at 43.2% for the season. Hale also led the Lady Eagles in steals, averaging 2.17 per game; which ranked 32nd in the Nation. Fellow Heart of America Athletic Conference member and National Champion, Megan Balcom from MidAmerica Nazarene University; joined DaJonee Hale on the First Team as well.

"Earning a spot on the first team is a great honor for DaJonee (Hale)," said Davis. "She works extremely hard and this was no accident that she got this recognition. DaJonee is always the first one into the gym, and the last one out."

Senior guard Alissa Campanero earned a spot on the Third Team. Campanero finished the season ranked first in the NAIA Division 1 level, with a little over six assists per game, and she finished first in free-throw percentage at 93.1%. Campanero also ranked second in the Nation in total assists, with 194. Her assist/turnover ratio was 2.021; which ranked her 10th in the Nation.

Four programs had multiple players earn All-America status, led by three players from Westmont (Calif.). Central Methodist University, Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) and Vanguard (Calif.) all landed two each.
