Three Eagles Earn All Conference Selections

Fayette, Mo. The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced their All-Conference selections for women's basketball on Monday morning, with three Central Methodist players receiving honors from The Heart.

DaJonee Hale (JR/Anchorage, Alaska) (JR/Anchorage, Alaska) and Lexie Moe (SO/St. Peters, Mo.) (SO/St. Peters, Mo.) were named First Team All-Conference, while Ana Borges (JR/Sao Paulo, Brazil) (JR/Sao Paulo, Brazil) received honorable mention.

"We are so proud and happy for our young ladies to receive this recognition from the Heart of America Athletic Conference," said CMU head coach Mike Davis. "NeNe and Lexie have been unbelievable this season. They have put up huge numbers while being face-guarded and double-teamed all year. They are both special players. Ana has really blossomed the last month of the regular season. Her athleticism has added another dimension to our team. We are all excited to see what the post-season holds in store for this team."

The duo of Hale and Moe return from last year, picking up where they left off. Both have played in all 30 games to this point for the Eagles. Hale and Moe are currently second and third in the conference in scoring with 18.7 points per game and 16.6 points per game. Hale is currently third in the conference shooting from beyond the three-point arc, at 39.6%. Moe while sits fifth in the conference at 38.9 % from beyond the arc, rounding out the top five. Both are respectively shooting 84.5% and 82.6% from the free throw line. Moe also leads the team in rebounds per game with 6.3.

Ana Borges is in her first year at Central Methodist, after transferring from Utah State University- Eastern where she spent her freshman and sophomore seasons. Borges has played in all 30 games to this point for the Eagles. Borges is tenth in the conference in steals per game at 1.97. She averages 8.2 points per game, which is fourth on the team, and has 55 assists and 59 steals on the season.
