Bachkarova Tabbed as Heart Player of the Week

Kansas City, Mo. - For the first time in 2022, Central Methodist senior guard Daryna Bachkarova was named the Heart Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the conference office Monday.

The Minsk, Belarus native led Central to an 11-point victory over, at the time, No. 13 Sterling last Tuesday night inside Puckett Field House.

Bachkarova led the Eagles with 22 points on seven-of-17 shooting including five three-point baskets. She nearly recorded a double-double, adding eight rebounds to her stat line.

Bachkarova and the Eagles are currently 5-0 and 1-0 in the conference. Central will remain at home to host No. 5 Clarke University Saturday, Nov. 26 at 2:00 p.m. inside Puckett Field House. It is a rematch of last year's Heart Tournament Championship game.
