Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist sophomore guard Zutorya Cook was named Heart Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the conference office Monday.
The Marietta, Ga. native helped Central to a 2-0 record this past week with victories over MidAmerica Nazarene and Mount Mercy.
Cook scored 19 points and led the team with a game-high eight steals against the Pioneers last Wednesday. She followed that up with 26 points and five rebounds against Mount Mercy this past Saturday.
Overall, Cook averaged 22.5 points, 6.0 steals, and 5.0 rebounds/game through CMU's two games this past week.
The Eagles are currently 8-0 and 4-0 in conference play. Central will conclude its three-game road swing with a matchup against William Penn Saturday, Dec. 10 at 2:00 p.m. in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
