Fayette, Mo. - Central Methodist Head Women's Basketball Coach Dustyn Yung has announced the hiring of Emmiley Hendrixson as the new assistant coach for the Eagles.
Hendrixson comes to Central by way of Concordia University of Nebraska in Seward, Nebraska. While there, she spent the past two years as a graduate assistant for the women's basketball program.
She completed her masters in coaching and athletics administration from Concordia University of Irvine in the spring of 2024.
"I am thrilled to add Coach Hendrixson to our staff," stated Coach Yung. "She has a great amount of energy and passion for student-athletes, the game of basketball, and the NAIA. Her knowledge and success both as a player at Sterling College and coach at Concordia University will make an immediate impact on our program and student-athletes."
While with the Bulldogs, Hendrixson served as the junior varsity coach for two years, leading the program to an overall record of 24-15 in two seasons. She also was on the staff that led the varsity program to a pair of national tournament appearances in 2023 and 2024. Additionally, Hendrixson was in charge of travel operations and player development.
Prior to her time as a coach, Hendrixson played guard for the Sterling College Warriors in Sterling, Kansas for three seasons. While with the Warriors, Hendrixson led her team to three consecutive trips to the NAIA National Tournament and back-to-back KCAC Tournament Championships in her junior and senior seasons.
She also played one season at Cloud County Community College in Concordia, Kansas.
"I am incredibly grateful to Coach Yung for the opportunity to join the women's basketball program here at CMU," stated Hendrixson. "I also want to thank my family and friends for constantly supporting me. I'm excited for the future of this program and ready to get to work! Go Eagles!"
Hendrixson will begin her duties immediately.
