Marshall, Mo. - The Central Methodist Women's Golf program posted its third consecutive second-place finish at the Big Muddy Shoot Out Monday afternoon in Marshall, Mo.
The single-round tournament featured 29 golfers from the following programs; Central Methodist, Columbia College, Metropolitan Community College, and host Missouri Valley College.
CMU posted a one-round score of 340 to place second, while Columbia College won the event with a score of 328. The Cougars B team earned a third-place standing with a team score of 355.
Freshman Mechelle Vermillion won the first tournament of her college career with a score of 78. Senior Alea Andrade landed in the Top 5, firing a single round of 82.
Sarah Krenowicz cracked the Top 10, finishing tied for eighth with a score of 88.
The Eagles continue fall action at the Columbia College Cougar Classic Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 3-4 in Columbia, Mo.
