Columbia, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's and Women's Bowling teams took part in the Columbia College Invitational, hosted by Columbia College this weekend.
The weekend was split into two separate tournaments, the Columbia Cougar Clash on Saturday, and the Columbia Cougar Clash - Day 2 on Sunday.
Additionally, the tournament featured the following programs; Avila, Culver-Stockton, Columbia College, Peru State, Southeastern Illinois College, Barton Community College, and Central Methodist.
The CMU men finished sixth Saturday (4390 pins) after completing 25 Baker Team games. The CMU Women also placed sixth through 25 Baker Team games with 1859 total pins.
On Sunday, both the men (3924 pins) and women (1944) finished with sixth place finishes after five games bowled.
Individually, freshman Lane Hook was the highest finisher for the men, placing 12th with an average of 175 pins/game (873 total).
Lukas Heldenbrand posted a 15th place standing, knocking down 844 pins for a 169 pins/game average
Dustin Linneman (18th - 821), Takudswa Mukonzamariro (22nd - 735) and Declan White (28th - 651) also competed for the Eagles.
On the women's side, freshman Emma Kitchens led the way for Central with a 17th place finish with 749 total pins, averaging 149.8 pins/game.
Sophomore Maya Elliot placed 23rd (677) and Lauren Williams (30th - 518) rounded out Central's competitors on the women's side.
Both programs will be back in action at the Avila Eagle Invitational beginning Saturday, Jan. 25 in Belton, Mo.
