Fayette, Mo. - Leading the Central Methodist defense to two shutout victories over Evangel and William Penn. Junior defender Marcos German has been named this week's Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. 

German anchored the defensive backline, limiting its opponents to a combined total of five shots (two on target) through two matches. German also recorded a goal against the Crusaders and dished out two assists against the Statesmen on Saturday.

The Eagles now stand at a perfect 6-0 overall and in conference play heading into their matchup with Missouri Valley College Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Marshall, Mo. CMU is seeking its third-straight victory over the Vikings.
