No. 22 Central and No. 15 Columbia End in Scoreless Draw

Fayette, Mo. - The No. 22 Central Methodist Men's Soccer program secured a scoreless draw against No. 15 Columbia College Wednesday night at Davis Field.

With the draw, Central moves to 3-2-1 to conclude non-conference play. Columbia College is now 2-1-2.

Both sides were nearly identical in offensive production, as each squad finished the evening with 11 shots apiece. Three of Central's shots were on frame, compared to two for Columbia College.

Isaac Johnson, Koen Schimmel, and Alvaro Perojo each led the Central offense with two shots. Morris Van Tuinen and Niccolo Cabras both played a half between the posts, with each recording a save.

Central will turn its attention to conference action, as the Eagles will head north to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to take on Mount Mercy in the Heart Opener Saturday, Sept. 16 at 3:30 p.m.
