Men's Soccer Falls to Park in Road Matchup

Parkville, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's Soccer program fell to Park University by a score of 3-0 Saturday afternoon in Parkville, Mo. 

The Eagles now stand at 6-6-3 and 3-4-2 in the Heart. The Pirates improve to 5-4-3 and 3-3-3 in conference action. 

Park jumped out in front early with a goal in the 15th minute. Trailing 1-0 at the halftime break, Central finished the first half tallying seven first half shots, compared to just four for the Pirates. 

Despite the second half being fairly even in shot selection for both sides, Park tallied two more goals in the 58th and 71st minute to come away with a 3-0 victory over CMU. 

Central tallied 14 total shots for the match, including five on goal, compared to 12 shots and six on goal for Park. 

Adrian Stokke, Basil Erne, Liam Arthur, and Cian Halpin each recorded two shots. 

Morris Van Tuinen picked up three saves in a full 90 minutes between the posts. 

The Eagles return home to host Culver-Stockton College Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Davis Field.
