ROME, Ga. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that Central Methodist's Nathan Adair, Kaleb Borghardt, Luke Mayer and Conner White are among 259 football student-athletes that have been named 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. White earns the honor for a second straight season.

Adair, a senior defensive back from Wright City, Mo., recorded 10 tackles this season.

Borghardt, from California, Mo., completed 53.1 percent (154-of-290) of his passes for 1,642 yards with 15 touchdowns against 20 interceptions. The junior quarterback was second on the team in rushing with 522 yards on 111 carries and two scores. He was named the Beyond Sports Network National Offensive Player of the Week on September 23 after a win against Culver-Stockton (Mo.).

Mayer, a junior linebacker from Sullivan, Mo., registered 34 tackles and three tackles for loss in 2013.

White, a redshirt junior linebacker from Jefferson City, Mo., ranked third on the team with 60 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and one fumble recovery.

For the second-straight year, Cumberland (Tenn.) led all institutions with 16 individuals on the list.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
