FAYETTE, Mo. - The Eagles reached the midpoint of Spring Ball Sunday with Head Coach Jody Ford feeling good about the squad's development.
Central Methodist worked outdoors in full pads for the second straight practice, but the three hour session was the team's first on the field since Wednesday. The team started the session focused on special teams and position drills inside Davis Field, then moved to 11-on-11 drills, individual instruction and playbook expansion.
Ford did not limit the contact during the session except to quarterbacks. Dressed in full gear, the players were allowed to take each other to the ground in 11-on-11 segments.
The Eagles got plenty accomplished during the seventh practice of the spring.
"I feel good about where we're at on both sides of the ball," Ford said. "These guys are doing a great job of coming out here with intent. It's starting to look like football. Our guys are on the right track, doing the right things."![]()
