CMU starts final prep for Spring Game

CMU starts final prep for Spring Game

FAYETTE, Mo. -The Eagles started their last week of Spring Ball Tuesday with a three-hour workout intended to prime the squad for the concluding Black and White Spring Game on Saturday.

Head Coach Jody Fordput the Eagles through the energetic session that started and finished outside at Davis Field.

Afterward, Ford said the Eagles are putting their energy into a productive Black and White Spring Game, scheduled to start at Davis Field Saturday at 3 p.m. CT. The team has just a Thursday afternoon practice remaining to prepare for the spring finale.

"We're going to simplify the game plan," Ford said, "and see them turn it loose on Saturday. I want to see a whole lot of execution, some physical ball and guys just having fun."

Ford also talked about the importance of the Eagles playing with passion Saturday, intent on leaving a positive final impression with coaches and teammates until the start of summer camp.

"I want leaders to step forward on both sides of the ball," Ford said. "Guys can't take things for granted. Football is played between the white lines and that's sacred ground. You have to play hard, give everything you have, and invest the process.

Commemorative Posters at Spring Game

Commemorative schedule posters for the 2014 season will be distributed free of charge Saturday at the main entrance into Davis Field beginning at 2 p.m.

Rosters for the Black and White teams also will be available without charge.
