The Draft
Central Methodist coaches drafted the Black and White teams Wednesday. The style of the game this year will allow the Eagles to play a standard format, a change from previous spring games featuring a special scoring system for the offense and defense. Rosters of each team will be available at the main entrance to Davis Field.
Format of Game
The game will consist of four 10-minute quarters. Halftime will be five minutes.
The black team will be on the home sideline, dressed in green helmets, black jerseys and black pants. The white team will occupy the visiting sideline, dressed in green helmets, white jerseys and black pants. Tight ends will wear green so they can play for both teams. The starting quarterback for each team will don green jerseys, so they are easily identified by defenders. The backup quarterbacks for each team will wear their team color since they are full contact.
Notable Rules of Game
Every spring game has unique rules when it comes to player contact on certain plays, and this one is no different. Below are specific rules for the game:
Field Goals
There will be field goals, but no rush is allowed.
Punts and Kickoffs
There will be punts and kickoffs with returns, but no tackling is allowed. Returners will be touched down by coverage units, and drives will start at that spot.
Timeouts

Quarterbacks
Contact is not permitted for each team's starter
Defense can run past QB for sack.
