Fayette, Mo. Central Methodist University head football coach David S. Calloway announced the list of commitments that he has received on Signing Day 2016. In total, 18 players signed on the dotted line to suit up for the Eagles this coming fall at Davis Field.

"Well NAIA Signing Day is a little different from the NCAA," said CMU head football coach David S. Calloway. "We still have some recruiting to do, but I think we got some good offensive lineman today and we did a great job recruiting from the state of Missouri."

On Wednesday, the Eagles welcomed 18 new faces to Central Methodist University. Of the 18 players that signed with CMU, 15 were from the state of Missouri, two players signed from the state Arkansas, and one player signed from the state of Kansas.

Following the announcement of the 18 signees, Coach Calloway said the team will still be recruiting for some defensive lineman. There are about 10-15 spots left that Coach Calloway and his staff hope to fill.

"We are looking for players that have some good height and length," continued Calloway. "We need guys with mental toughness. We will continue to look in state, but we will broaden our search outside of the state too."

The Eagles football team will take to the practice field in the springtime for preparations for the fall season. CMU closes out spring practice on Saturday April 30^th, when the team hosts' their annual Spring Game. The Spring Game will kickoff at 11am at Davis Field on the 30^th.
