Central Methodist Football Falls to No. 2 Baker

BAKER, Kan. - The Central Methodist football team fell on the road to No. 2 nationally ranked Baker University 49-0 Saturday afternoon at Liston Field.

NOTES
• The Eagles dropped to 1-8 (0-3) for the year, as the Wildcats remain undefeated on the season 9-0 (3-0).

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
Que'Sean Sims (SO/Oklahoma City, Okla.) caught two passes for a total of 60 yard with his longest being 54 yards. On the return side he had two kick returns for 76 yards with his longest being 53 yards.

Collin O'Connell (SR/Fayette, Mo.) led Central Methodist defense with 10 unassisted tackles and one assisted.
• Marco Aquinaga completed 31 of his 37 completions, throwing for a total of 233 yards, and rushing for 33 yards.
• JD Woods set a single-game rushing record with 313 yards on 28 carries scoring four touchdowns.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• In the first quarter, Central Methodist held Baker to just one touchdown as the Wildcats Quarterback Aguinaga found Wide Receiver Moss in the endzone for a six-yard touchdown, extra point attempt was good making the Wildcats score 7-0.
• Entering the 2nd quarter with 11:30 remaining on the clock, Baker scored off a 54yard rushing touchdown from Woods finding the outside gap putting the Wildcats ahead 14-0.

• On the next Wildcats possession, Woods scored on a 13 yard carry up the middle as the they added seven to the score 21-0.

• Through the next Wildcats drive, Aquinaga hooked up with wide receiver Clark for a 13-yard touchdown. Wildcats led 28-0.

• In the 3rd quarter, Woods scored two touchdowns while running one carry for 10 yards and the following touchdown for 80 yards, both field goals were good making the score 42-0.

• With 12:06 on the clock in the 4th quarter, Wildcats added one more touchdown on the board from a 11-yard carry by running back Allen, extra point was good making the final of the game 49-0.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• The Wildcats led with 398 yards rushing, 233 passing going for a total of 631 yards on 84 plays.
• The Eagles were held to 128 yards passing, 96-yards on the ground for a total of 224 yards on the day.

The Eagles will return to action Saturday, November 4th, when they host MidAmerica Nazarene University at Davis Field. The game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
