KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Katavious Taylor (SO/Memphis, Tenn.) picked up an Honorable Mention slot with the announcement of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) 2018 Football All-America Teams, released by the national office on Thursday.
Taylor, a First-Team All-Heart honoree, is the first athlete to receive an NAIA All-American honor for the Eagles football team since Bubba Stutzer and Keeyon Howard were recognized in 2004.
The wide receiver made a splash in his first season as an Eagle. Despite missing the first game of the season, Taylor still led the conference in receiving yards, catching 61 balls for 1,082 yards and 10 touchdowns.
