Eagles Fall at No. 14 Benedictine

ATCHISON, Kan. – The Central Methodist University football program put up 27 points in the second half but was unable to hold off No. 14-ranked Benedictine on the road after falling 64-34 to the Ravens on Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles fall to 4-3-1 on the season (1-1 Heart) while the Ravens move to 6-2 on the season and 1-1 in the division.

Jordan Williams (SR/Memphis, Tenn.) led the program through the air after completing 30-of-54 pass attempts. He totaled 377 passing yards and connected on four touchdowns while also recording 60 yards on the ground and marking one touchdown with his feet.

Katavious Taylor (JR/Memphis, Tenn.) led an active receiving squad as he was targeted seven times for 171 yards, finding the end zone four times. Damontay Allen (SR/Conway, Ark.) and Kooper Wilson (SO/Versailles, Mo.) each recorded more than 60 reception yards on at least seven attempts.

Defensively, Anthony Hernandez (JR/Franklin, Calif) and Malcolm Elmore (SR/Higginsville, Mo.) led the way with double-digit tackles and were both in on a tackle for loss. Brandon Molinari (SO/Warrenton, Mo.) secured the only interception for the squad in the second quarter.

From the tee, Samuel Petrin (SO/Bunnell, Fla.) was able to put four PATs through the uprights while Nathan Hampton (SR/Sikeston, Mo.) and Conner Beeken (FR/Groveland, Fla.) combined for 244 kickoff yards.

Up next for Central will be a home contest against No. 21 Baker on Saturday, November 2nd. Kickoff is set for 1 PM on Davis Field.
