FAYETTE, Mo. – Central Methodist head football coach David Calloway has announced a condensed nine-game schedule for the 2020 season.
Year Five of the Calloway era for CMU football begins with a daunting task as Grand View, a 2019 NAIA Football Championship Series semifinalist, comes to Fayette on September 12.
The Eagles will then travel to Graceland the following weekend before hosting William Penn for Homecoming on September 26. Central and Penn played to a 7-7 tie in a game that was ended early due to inclement weather last season.
Central heads to Peru State on October 3 to close out non-division play. After a bye week, the Eagles will take on rival Missouri Valley in Marshall on October 17 in the division opener.
Benedictine will travel east on October 24 for Hall of Fame Day at Davis Field. CMU will be on the road for the next two weeks, taking on Baker on October 31 and Evangel on November 7. The Eagles upset then-No. 9 ranked Evangel a season ago in one of the biggest wins in program history, forcing seven turnovers in a 42-7 victory.
The regular season concludes with Senior Day against MidAmerica Nazarene on November 14.
