Fayette, Mo. - For the second time in 2020, junior Samuel Petrin has been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Football Special Teams Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
The Bunnell, Florida native converted both of his field goals and all three extra-point attempts in the Eagles 27-20 win over Evangel. He also punted six times for 177-yards including a long of 34 along with one punt landing inside the 20. Petrin also and recorded six kickoffs for 360 total yards including a long of 65.
Petrin currently leads the conference in field goals made (6) and is tied atop the league in PAT kicking percentage (1.000).
The Eagles will conclude the 2020 season with a matchup against MidAmerica Nazarene University Saturday, Nov. 14 at 1:00 p.m at Davis Field as part of senior day.
