The Lady Eagles struck first when freshman Jordyn Jennings (St. Charles, Mo.) scored her first goal of the season in the 70th minute off an assist by sophomore Kayla Leeser (St. Peters, Mo.). William Woods answered with a goal in the 84th minute, which sent the match into overtime. Neither team was able to notch a goal in the two extra periods, ending the match in a 1-1 draw. Freshman Brittany Andert (St. Peters, Mo.) played 110 minutes in goal for CMU, earning six saves while allowing just one goal.

Central Methodist now holds a 3-8-2 record, while William Woods is 5-5-2. CMU will be back in action Saturday in a 1 p.m. Heart of America Athletic Conference match against MidAmerica Nazarene University at Davis Field.
