MidAmerica Nazarene jumped out to a 2-0 lead with a pair of goals in the first 21 minutes of the match. The CMU offense took 10 shots in the first half, but was unable to find the net as the score remained 2-0 at halftime. In the second half, the Lady Eagles took just one shot. MidAmerica Nazarene added a third goal in the 85th minute to win the match 3-0.

Central Methodist finished with 11 shots, including six on goal, while MidAmerica Nazarene had eight shots, with seven on goal. Freshman Meredith Brick (Chillicothe, Mo.) and sophomore Kristen Bailey (St. Louis, Mo.) each played 45 minutes in goal for CMU, picking up two saves each. Brick allowed the two first-half goals, while Bailey surrendered the second-half goal.

The Lady Eagles dropped to 3-9-2 on the season and 0-5 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference, while MidAmerica Nazarene improved to 7-6 and 2-3. Central Methodist has two home matches remaining this season. The Lady Eagles will be back in action Oct. 23 as they host Avila University in a 5 p.m. match at Davis Field.
