ORANGE BEACH, Ala. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that Central Methodist's Lindie Adair, Meredith Brick, Katherine Crane, Jen McIntyre and Kelsey Vanzant are among 507 women's soccer student-athletes that have been named 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Adair, a junior forward from Boonville, Mo., played in 17 games this season. She tallied nine goals and two assists for 20 points, second highest on the team. Adair has been an All-HAAC choice during her first three seasons playing in Fayette.
Brick, a senior goalkeeper from Chillicothe, Mo., played in 17 games this season. She recorded 78 saves in 1456:13.
Crane, a senior defender from Columbia, Mo., appeared in three games during the 2013 campaign and played in eight games in her two-year career in Fayette.
McIntyre, a senior forward from Florissant, Mo., played in 17 games and netted two goals.
Vanzant, a junior midfielder who hails from Troy, Mo., appeared in 18 games. She ranked third on the team with five goals and two assists.
Concordia (Neb.) leads all institutions with 11 individuals on the list.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
