FAYETTE, Mo. - Five student-athletes have signed to play for the Central Methodist women's soccer team for the 2014 season, coach Dan Schmidlin announced. The class includes defenders Tori Rose, Rebecca Mackey, Abby Boyer, Erin White and midfielder Nicole Langwith.

Rose is from Troy, Mo., and attends Troy Buchanan High School. She playeded club soccer for Troy United Soccer Club.

"Tori has a good soccer background and has been well coached," Schmidlin said. "She will immediately add speed and athleticism to our back line. She is a great competitor with a tremendous work ethic. We are looking forward to coaching Tori for the next four years."

Mackey is from Wasilla, Alaska, and attends Colony High School. She played club soccer for Alaska Football Club and Matanuska SC.

"Rebecca is a great addition to our team and has a great soccer background playing for the Olympic Developmental Program in Alaska," Schmidlin commented. "Rebecca will step in and help us on the backline. Rebecca has great work ethic and character, we are very excited to coach her for the next four years."

Boyer is from Cape Girardeau, Mo., and attends Notre Dame Regional High School, the district champion in 2012. She played club soccer for J.B. Marine S.C. out of Saint Louis.

"Abby plays at a very high intensity, and she will step in and help us on the backline," Schmidlin said. "She is very strong and will fit our style of play well. Abby fits in great with our team and we are excited to coach her for the next four years."

White is from Waynesville, Mo., and attends Waynesville High School. She played club soccer for Total Demize out of Springfield, Mo.

"We are excited to expand our recruiting class into the Springfield area," Schmidlin said before adding, "Erin will bring speed to our backline, and she is a technical player that plays simple. She is a hard worker and a great competitor. We are excited to coach Erin for the next four years."

Langwith is from Saint Charles, Mo., and attends John F. Kennedy High School. She played club soccer for WC St. Louis.

"Nicole has been a part of a winning program at John F Kennedy," Schmidlin said. "They won the district championship in 2011 and 2013, and she was a second team All-Conference player. Nicole will add depth to our midfield with her height and strength. She is a very hard worker, and we look forward to watching her grow on and off the field for the next four years."
