CANTON, Mo. - Central Methodist and Culver-Stockton (Mo.) ended their match in a 1-1 draw after two overtimes Wednesday at NX Level Field in Heart of America Athletic Conference play.
The Eagles are unbeaten in their last three matches (1-0-2), all of which have gone into double overtime. Central Methodist (9-3-5, 1-3-2) is unbeaten in its last 11 matches (4-0-7) that have gone into extra time.
Culver-Stockton (10-3-3, 2-3-1) struck first in the fifth minute when Brittney McMahon scored on an assist from Ali Jaeger.
The Eagles tied the match in the 79th minute when Fernanda Ramirez found the back of the net with help from Jamie Krediet.
Eagles' goalkeeper Sam Savio recorded eight saves in 110 minutes.
Wildcats' keeper Mackenzie Little put up 10 saves in 110 minutes.
Central Methodist outshot Culver-Stockton 18-12. Each team had six corner kicks.
The Eagles travel to Baker (Kan.) on Saturday, Nov. 1, for a 5:30 p.m. CT kickoff.
