Tuesday's match got off to a slow start, with both teams feeling each other out. After the first few minutes, Central Methodist began to control the tempo and did so throughout the first half. At halftime, the score was even at zero, but the Eagles had outshot Hannibal-LaGrange 11-1.

CMU didn't waste much time in the second half, scoring twice within the first ten minutes. The first goal came in the 50th minute from Ana Gonzalez, she was assisted by Rachel Topliss.

The Eagles didn't have to wait long for their second goal, as Nicki Noreen scored a goal unassisted the very next minute.

The score held at 2-0 the rest of the way as CMU came out victorious in front of their home fans.

Nikki Fleischmann picked up the win in goal for the Eagles, pitching the shutout while recording a couple of saves in her first action in 2015.

The Eagles have some time to rest now, as they will not be in action until next Tuesday September 8th. CMU travels to William Woods next Tuesday before returning home to Davis Field on September 11th when Bethany (Kan.) College comes to town at 7:30pm.
