With the loss, Central Methodist University moves to 2-3 on the season, while William Woods improves to 1-2-1 overall on the season.

Central Methodist dominated Wednesday evening in the stat column. The Lady Eagles outshot the William Woods Owls 18-1, however that one shot by the Owls proved to be the difference maker.

With 12:45 left in the game, Shelby Scanlan fired her only shot of the contest, beating CMU goalie Nikki Fleischmann for the only goal of the game.

The Eagles look to rebound on Friday, when they host Bethany College at Davis Field. The men get things started at 5pm, followed by the women at 7:30pm.
