With the draw, Central Methodist University moves to 2-3-1 on the season, while Bethany moves to 1-3-1 overall on the season.

Rachel Topliss got the Lady Eagles on the board early on Friday evening, finding the back of the net in the fourth minute thanks to a pass from Nicki Noreen to give CMU the early 1-0 lead. The Lady Eagles would hold the 1-0 advantage heading into halftime.
�
In the second half, the Bethany Swedes offense came alive. Sarah Henderson evened the game at one goal a piece with her strike in the 46th minute.
�
Central Methodist answered back in the 80th minute, when Nicki Noreen scored from a shot on the far side of the field to make it 2-1 in favor of CMU. Noreen was assisted by Jordie Retzlaff on the goal. Nicki Noreen finished the night with a goal and an assist for CMU.

Things were starting to look up for the Lady Eagles, but then a little over a minute later Bethany received a clutch goal from Sarah Henderson; her second of the night, assisted by Taylor Petersen to once again even the score. The Petersen goal would force overtime with the two squads nodded at two goals apiece.

The two overtime periods saw very physical play and shots on both ends of the field, but no goals.

Overall, CMU outshot Bethany 21-7. Starting goalkeeper Nikki Fleischmann made four saves in the match.

The Lady Eagles return to action this Wednesday, when they host Lindenwood University in Belleville starting at 5pm at Davis Field.
