Wednesday's match featured a low scoring defensive battle until the latter stages of the contest. The game was scoreless until the 26th minute, when the Lady Eagles attempted their first of six corner kicks on the evening. Rebecca Steele-Mackey sent the ball near the goal and Lady Tiriat did the rest, finding the back of the net to give CMU the early 1-0 lead. That score would stand heading into the second half.

The second half got off to a similar start to the first half, as neither team gave ground and the half remained scoreless until the 72nd minute. Blanca Gomez was awarded a penalty kick following a yellow card from Rebecca Steele-Mackey. Gomez scored on Lady Eagle's goalie Amy Clason-Messina to even the game at 1-1.
