With the victory, Central Methodist improves to 4-4-2 on the season, while Saint Mary falls to 5-3 overall.

The first 20 minutes of Saturday's contest were quiet, but then the action picked up. Central Methodist attacked for the matches' first goal in the 21st minute, scored by Nicki Noreen.

The Spires wasted no time, answering back with a goal of their own just 23 seconds later from Ashley Wilcox to even things at one a piece.

Following halftime, CMU moved the ball down field when Lady Tiriat found Fernanda Ramirez, for what proved to be the game winning goal in the 50th minute.

Central Methodist outshot Saint Mary 31-4 on the afternoon. Nicki Noreen had a team high seven shots, five of them were on goal.

The Lady Eagles return to conference action on Tuesday evening when they travel to face Evangel. The match is scheduled to begin at 5pm.
