2015 Daktronics-NAIA Womens Soccer Scholar-Athletes

2015 Daktronics-NAIA Womens Soccer Scholar-Athletes
Kansas City, Mo. The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced Friday that 588 Women's Soccer student-athletes have been named 2015 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Goshen (Ind.) leads all programs with 14 individuals on the list apiece.

Central Methodist University placed a total of seven players on the list. They include: junior Bayley Bellers (Eureka, Mo.), junior Megan Bremer (Clinton, Mo.), junior Nikki Fleischmann (St. Louis, Mo.), junior Remy Gagnon (San Diego, Calif.), junior Jenna Hellebusch (Washington, Mo.), senior Jordie Retzlaff (O'Fallon, Mo.), and junior Jenny Retzlaff (O'Fallon, Mo.).

"I am very proud of the girls that received this award," said CMU head women's soccer coach Dan Schmidlin. "We have a great group of young women that do very well in the classroom and on the field. It is critical to be a well-rounded student athlete."

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
