SPRINGFIELD, MO. - The Central Methodist women's soccer team defeated Evangel University 4-0 Tuesday afternoon, continuing their winning streak in conference play with all four goals being scored in the first half.

• The Eagles continue their undefeated season at 7-0-1
• The Eagles hold a 2-0 record in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Elly Boothe (FR/Silex, Mo.) collected her third goal of the season, with two shots and one on goal.
• Michelle Raines (JR/Hawk Point, Mo.) scored her first goal of the season.
• Nely Martinez (FR/Collado Villalba, Spain) added her fifth goal of the season with two shots and one on goal.
• Rachel Topliss (JR/Walsall, England) had two assists in today's match connecting with Martinez and Sainz.
• Judith Sainz (SO/Pamplona, Spain) led the team with three shots, two on goal, and one goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• In the 15th minute of the match, Boothe scored on an unassisted goal, putting Central Methodist up on the board first.
• Entering the 20th minute of the first half, Central Methodist added its second goal of the match when Raines collected a goal on an assist from Fuentes.
• In the 24th minute of play, Topliss connected with Martinez on a goal bringing the score to 3-0.
• The Eagles wrapped up the game in the 27th minute of the first half, Topliss tallied an assist on a Sainz goal.
• In the second half, both teams were quiet on goals. Central Methodist took the win on the road to continue their undefeated season with a score of 4-0.
