Eagles Hold Steady at No. 5

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The top nine teams in the nation remained as-is from a week ago in the latest edition of the NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll, including Central Methodist women's soccer holding steady in the No. 5 spot.

The Eagles, who currently boast an overall record of 18-0, are the only unbeaten team in the rankings and received 423 points in the poll. As a team, they are ranked 5th in the nation in total goals (76), 6th in goals per game (4.22), 6th in shots on goal per game (12.28), and 9th in total assists (51).

Other Heart competitors in the rankings are No. 19 MidAmerica Nazarene and No. 22 Benedictine. Evangel remains just outside of the poll in the "others receiving votes" category.

Central is set to open postseason play on Saturday, November 9th, at 6 PM. They will host Clarke University in the quarterfinal round of the Heart Women's Soccer Championship.
