Kansas City, Mo. - In the first edition of the Heart of America Women's Volleyball Player of the Week awards, Central Methodist senior middle Delaney Miller was named the Heart Attacker of the Week.
The native of Buffalo, Missouri led the No. 19 Eagles to two key wins in the highly competitive Columbia College Tournament this past weekend.
Miller finished the tournament with two double-digit kill performances, first against No. 22 Ottawa Friday, followed by a career-best 19 kills against (RV) Xavier Saturday. Overall, she totaled 46 kills, averaging 2.88 kills/set and hitting .494.
Miller and the Eagles will next compete in the GoSarpy.com Labor Day Classic beginning Friday, Sept. 1 in Bellevue, Neb.
